In a Facebook post on July 9, the 47-year old lawmaker listed down 10 of her priority bills for the 17th Congress, all of which she presented first to the public for the most part of the campaign period.
1.SB 159 – People’s Freedom of Information
2.SB 160 – Free Lunch Program for Public Schools
3.SB 161 – First 1000 Days
4.SB 162 – National Transportation Safety Board Act
5.SB 163 – Anti-Discrimination Act of 2016
6.SB 164 – Philippine Film and Television Tourism Act
7.SB 165 – Philippine Independent Film Incentives Act
8.SB 166 – Brgy. Health Workers and Services Reform
9.SB 167 – OFW Credit Assistance
10.SB 168 – Protection of Irrigation Watersheds
Netizens generally welcomed her proposals with some of them expressing their admiration and gratitude to her in the comments section. “Super great talaga [ng] supposed President natin….hayyyst di bale may 2019 and 2022 pa,” wrote one Raque Gustelo.
Poe was among the most viable candidates in the last elections and was highly favored to win until her citizenship issues confused many voters who eventually rallied behind former Davao City Mayor and ultimate victor President Rodrigo Duterte.
